Jassie-Fredcia Senwah

Jassie-Fredcia Senwah is the daughter of T. Albert Senwah and Dr. Jeanetta K. Johnson-Senwah. In 1990, Jassie was in the arms of her father when he was shot to death during one of the civil upheavals in Liberia. She and other family members were fortunate to escape. In 2002, Jassie relocated to Boston, MA, USA to continue her education.

She graduated with honors from the West Roxbury High School in 2005.

In 2009, she received her BA in Political Science (Pre-Law) from Albright College in Reading, PA where she was also awarded the Maltzer Prize Pre-Law Award, and Albright’s College highest award, “Gold A” Award for Outstanding Achievement.

After graduation, Jassie was hired as a Victim Witness Advocate for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office where she worked for almost eight (8) years supporting families of domestic violence, gang violence, white collar crimes and homicide, and was the supervisor for advocates in East Boston and
Boston Municipal Court- Central Division. In 2010, Jassie received her Paralegal Certificate from Suffolk University where she also went on the received dual masters degrees in 2013 in Public Administration and Crime and Justice Studies. Her degrees focus on nonprofit, leadership, and critical victimology.

Jassie serves in her church, Calvary Church International Ministries, and in her community, The Liberian Community of Metropolitan Boston (Metro-Boston) where she has served as secretary and Vice President.

Currently, Jassie works for Transition House Inc., as a Shelter Coordinator for their emergency domestic violence shelter, and as a Shelter Advocate for Health Imperatives-Penelope’s Place.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, volunteering, planning Senwah Foundation’s next fundraiser, or spending time with any one of her numerous god-children.
